About Mind Body Knox

Our mind and body are one of the same, however, we often forget the importance of caring for
this mind body axis. Fortunately, there are scientifically proven methods to care for our mental and physical health, while reducing the impact of chronic stress.

We all know that practice makes perfect, and that’s where Mind Body Knox comes in. Our goal is to provide a structured time and space for individuals and families to come together to practice in a small group setting that educates and empowers.

We have expertise staff equipped to teach evidence-based skills to assist with coping, relaxation, stress management, and emotional regulation.  We strive to make the classes at Mind Body Knox accessible for all members of our community.  We are excited to help support growth and healthy changes in individuals in Knoxville and beyond.

Meet the Founders

Paige Keisler Collins, LMFT, RYT

Paige Keisler Collins is the owner and founder of Mind Body Knox, LLC.  She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500). Paige also has certification in trauma-informed yoga, prenatal yoga, aerial yoga, Pilates, and breathwork.

Paige has worked as a licensed therapist since 2010, treating children and adults with a wide range of mental and behavioral health struggles.  Paige received extensive training on the science of integrated health in graduate school and has been practicing meditation, breathwork, and yoga herself, as well as incorporating these practices into her work with clients for many years.

Over the years Paige noticed that clients recognized the need to better manage stress and take care of themselves, as well as understood the benefits of coping and relaxation skills, however, they have difficulty finding time to actually integrate and apply these skills in their daily lives.  This is not surprising, though. Life is hard, and change is hard, especially given how busy everyone is these days. Also, technology has rapidly changed our lives. Our brains do not have time for rest.  We are constantly under pressure, have unrealistically high expectations, and are experiencing negative emotions such as feeling overwhelmed, defeated, and frustrated. Many individuals rarely get a break, and when they do, it is often filled with unhealthy habits or pure exhaustion.

Paige pursued yoga teacher training in 2017 as a means to provide well-rounded group services focusing on a mind-body modality to help improve clients' emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. She has taught yoga, breathwork, and meditation in community groups, corporate settings, conferences, and residential treatment facilities.

In 2019, with the help of her husband, Paige expanded her private practice and created Mind Body Knox in order to provide a structured space and time focused on holistic health for her clients, our community, and for herself.  While she loves working as a therapist, Paige did not want to be sitting in the same chair in her office 40 hours a week for the next 30 years.  Paige and her long time friend and colleague, Lynn Smith, teamed up to bring the dream alive. Together they purchased unfinished commercial space and designed an oasis for mental and physical health that they are incredibly proud of. Mind Body Knox has grown to a team of 20+ licensed mental health therapists, massage therapist, and certified yoga and wellness instructors.

Lynn Smith, LCSW

Lynn Smith is the founder and director of The Center for Mindfulness, LLC at Mind Body Knox.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field of social work and psychotherapy and has practiced as an EMDR therapist for over 10 years now. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and faculty member of the EMDR Institute

The Center for Mindfulness came to fruition as a result of both a lifelong dream and a call to action. In 2020, in an effort to make sense of the overwhelming and universal suffering that unfolded, Lynn began exploring more deeply the practice of mindfulness meditation. One thing led to another- restored, awakened, and ready to tackle a new project, Lynn and colleague Paige Keisler Collins combined efforts on a new idea for treatment, one that encompasses each individual's wholeness, both mind and body.

Mind Body Knox, a dream of Paige's long in the making, combines counseling, meditation, and yoga all in one location. The Center for Mindfulness at Mind Body Knox, Lynn's call to action, offers a full range of mindfulness based programming aimed at both teaching and supporting practice. Lynn is a long time practitioner of mindfulness and trained in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). She is a qualified teacher offering the 8 week MBSR curriculum developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts, an evidence based mindfulness meditation program that has proven to improve both physical and mental health.

Lynn received training at the Mindfulness Center at Brown University where she continues to study and pursue certification in MBSR teaching. Additionally, Lynn is an mPEAK (Mindfulness Performance Enhancement Awareness and Knowledge) program coach. She received training at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine where she continues to pursue Coaching Certification.

The mPeak Coaching program is an 8 week intensive course that includes coaching and training in the application of mindfulness for stress resilience and performance optimization.  Both programs are offered through The Center for Mindfulness at Mind Body Knox. Individual mindfulness coaching is also available.
